Note on dental gold

Dental alloys vary — use 18ct as a starting estimate. We'll confirm the exact purity via XRF testing.

What we accept

Every form of gold, bought by weight

Dental gold and scrap gold are valued purely on their gold content — nothing else. Our XRF analysis determines the precise purity of each piece, so you receive the maximum value for the gold you're selling.

Gold crowns

Full & partial crowns

Yellow and white gold dental crowns — the most common form of dental gold. All purities accepted.

Gold bridges

Fixed bridge work

Multi-unit gold bridges purchased by weight. We separate gold from any porcelain fused components.

Gold inlays & onlays

Cast gold restorations

Small but often high-purity. Dental inlays typically range from 16ct to 22ct gold.

Gold bars

Investment & scrap bars

Hallmarked and unbranded gold bars of any size purchased at live spot rates.

Gold nuggets & granules

Raw & refined gold

Placer gold, refined granules and raw gold purchased. Tested on receipt.

Other scrap gold

Any form, any condition

If it contains gold, we'll buy it. Electronic components, gold foil, findings — all considered.

Typical dental gold purities

What to expect from your crowns

Type III / Type IV dental gold

The most common alloys — typically 16ct to 18ct (66%–75% gold). Used in older crowns and bridges made before the 1990s.

High-gold alloys

Premium dental restorations may use 20ct–22ct alloys. White dental gold often contains palladium, which adds further value.

Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM)

The gold substructure under porcelain crowns still contains valuable metal. Send the whole piece — we separate them at our refinery.

Gold-free ceramics & composites

Tooth-coloured crowns made entirely from ceramic or composite contain no precious metal. If you're unsure, send it and we'll test it.

Common questions

Selling dental gold — answered

Is dental gold valuable?

Yes. Dental gold alloys typically range from 10ct to 22ct (41%–91% pure gold). Even a small quantity of gold crowns can be worth a meaningful sum.

How do I remove dental gold from porcelain?

Don't try to separate it yourself — send it as it is. Our refinery separates the gold from any porcelain or base metal components accurately.

How is dental gold tested?

We use XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis to determine the exact gold content of each piece without damaging or destroying it.

Can I sell just one crown?

Absolutely. There is no minimum quantity. A single crown is welcome.
