How coins are valued
Transparent, weight-based pricing
Gold coins are valued by their pure gold content — not face value. We multiply the coin's exact gold weight (troy ounces or grams) by the live spot price at the time of your offer. For example, a full sovereign contains 7.3224g of pure gold, so its value moves directly with the gold price.
For numismatic or rare coins where collector value exceeds the gold content, we'll note this in your offer and advise accordingly.

Do condition and year affect the price?
For standard bullion coins, we pay the gold content value regardless of year or surface condition. For rare numismatic coins, collector value may apply — contact us to discuss.
Can I sell a large quantity of coins?
Absolutely. We handle large collections regularly. Call us directly for collections over 20 coins so we can arrange the most appropriate insured delivery.
Do I need to clean the coins before sending?
Please don't clean coins — it can reduce numismatic value. Send them as they are.
What documentation do I need?
No special documentation is required to sell coins to us. We'll ask for ID on payment as standard anti-money laundering practice.
