What we accept

Expert assessment for every stone

Gemstones require individual expertise — there's no formula that replaces a trained eye. Our team assesses every diamond and coloured stone against current wholesale market values, ensuring your offer reflects the true worth of what you're selling.

Loose diamonds

All shapes & sizes

Round brilliants, princess, oval, emerald and all fancy shapes. GIA-certified stones especially welcome.

Diamond rings

Engagement & dress rings

Solitaires, halos, trilogy and cluster rings. We value both the diamond and the gold or platinum setting.

Diamond jewellery

Necklaces, earrings & bracelets

Eternity rings, tennis bracelets, drop earrings and pendants all purchased.

Coloured gemstones

Sapphires, rubies & emeralds

Natural sapphires, rubies, emeralds and other precious stones assessed by our gemological team.

Estate jewellery

Antique & vintage

Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco pieces. We appreciate the craftsmanship and price accordingly.

Semi-precious stones

Aquamarines, topazes & more

We assess all quality stones. Even stones removed from settings are considered.

How diamonds are valued

The four Cs — and then some

Carat weight

The physical weight of the stone measured in carats (0.2g per carat). Larger stones command a significant premium per carat.

Colour grade

From D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). Colourless stones are rarest and most valuable. Fancy coloured diamonds are assessed separately.

Clarity grade

FL (flawless) to I3 (included). We use loupe and microscope examination to assess inclusions accurately.

Cut quality

A well-cut stone reflects light brilliantly and is worth more than a poorly cut stone of the same weight and colour.

Common questions

Selling diamonds — answered

Do I need a GIA certificate?

A certificate helps confirm the stone's grading and can increase the offer, but it's not required. We assess unmounted stones directly and make an offer based on our own evaluation.

How are diamonds valued?

Diamonds are assessed on the four Cs — carat weight, colour, clarity and cut — plus current wholesale market demand. We research comparable stones before making any offer.

Can I sell a diamond that's still in its setting?

Yes. We can assess the stone in its setting or have it removed by our bench jeweller. The gold or platinum mount is valued separately.

What if I have multiple stones?

We welcome collections. Each stone is assessed individually, and you receive a full itemised offer. For large collections, contact us directly before sending.
