Selling gold jewellery: your questions answered
Does my gold need to be hallmarked?
No. We test every piece with professional acid tests and XRF analysis, so unmarked jewellery is assessed accurately whether or not it carries a hallmark.
What if my jewellery has stones set in it?
We weigh the metal only and deduct an estimated stone weight. If the stones are valuable, we can assess them separately.
Do you accept gold-plated jewellery?
No. Gold-plated items contain very little gold and are not cost-effective to process. We need solid gold (9ct or above).
How quickly will I receive payment?
Accept your offer before 3pm and the funds reach your bank account the same working day.
