Selling gold jewellery — answered
Does my gold need to be hallmarked?
No. We test every piece using professional acid tests and XRF analysis, so unmarked jewellery is assessed accurately regardless of hallmarking.
What if my jewellery has stones set in it?
We weigh the metal only and deduct an estimated stone weight. If the stones are valuable, we can assess them separately.
Do you accept gold-plated jewellery?
Unfortunately not — gold-plated items contain very little gold and aren't cost-effective to process. We need solid gold (9ct or above).
How quickly will I receive payment?
