Selling silver: your questions answered
How do I identify sterling silver?
Look for a 925 hallmark, a lion passant (UK) or the word STERLING. If an item is unmarked, send it anyway: we test everything with XRF analysis.
Do you buy EPNS or silver-plated items?
No. We do not buy silver-plated items. EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) is a nickel silver alloy of copper, nickel and zinc with only a thin silver plate. We need solid silver (925 or above).
Do you buy platinum as well?
Yes. Platinum is bought at market rate. Include any platinum items with your silver and we will value them separately.
How is the silver price calculated?
We take the live London silver spot price and multiply it by the item's pure silver content (weight × fineness). Our pricing is fully transparent.
