When you accept your offer, we make a single Faster Payment bank transfer to the account you nominate. You receive the full amount stated in your offer letter, with no admin fees, deductions or handling charges. Accept before 3pm on a working day and payment is made the same day; offers accepted after 3pm are paid the next working day.

We do not pay in cash. Paying only by bank transfer is part of our anti-money-laundering checks, and it also protects you as a seller: cash leaves no record and no protection if something goes wrong, while a bank transfer gives you a clear, traceable payment you can check.

We dispatch your free pack the next working day. Once you post your items, it typically takes 3 to 5 working days from posting to payment: your items reach us, you receive a firm, itemised offer within 24 hours of their arrival, and if you accept before 3pm on a working day, we pay you the same day. Your bank detailsYou give us your sort code and account number when you accept, and we confirm them back to you in writing before making the payment. We do not keep your payment details after the transaction.

Confirmation emailYou receive a confirmation email with the payment reference number. If the funds haven't appeared within 3 hours, use this reference to trace the transfer in your online banking.

ID requirementsAs part of our anti-money-laundering checks, we record the seller's identity. For larger transactions, we may ask for photo ID and proof of address before making payment.

Pack your items in the packaging we supply and hand them in at a Post Office. They are insured up to £2,500 from then until they reach us. For items worth more, please contact us first.

Receive your offer

A firm, itemised offer arrives within 24 hours of your items reaching us. You can review it, query it or accept it at any point during your 7-day window.

Get paid

Accept before 3pm on a working day and payment is made to your account the same day. Offers accepted after 3pm are paid the next working day.

Why can't I be paid in cash?

Paying only by bank transfer is part of our anti-money-laundering checks, so we cannot pay in cash, whatever the seller would prefer. A bank transfer also gives you a clear, traceable record of your payment, which is better protection for you.

How quickly does the bank transfer arrive?

Faster Payments typically arrive within minutes, often instantly. If you haven't received payment within 3 hours of our confirmation email, contact us with the payment reference and we will look into it.

Can I be paid into someone else's account?

The account must be in your name or held jointly in your name. We cannot pay a third-party account, as this would conflict with our anti-money-laundering obligations.

I don't have a UK bank account. Can I still sell?

Please contact us before sending. We can discuss international wire transfers for overseas sellers. These typically take 2–3 working days rather than arriving the same day, and may involve a modest transfer fee.

Will I receive documentation for the sale?

Yes. You receive a full itemised offer letter, suitable for your tax records, and a payment confirmation email. Together they show each item, its weight, purity, price calculation and the total, giving you a complete record for any personal tax purposes.

What's the total time from posting to payment?

Typically 3 to 5 working days from posting to payment. You receive a firm, itemised offer within 24 hours of your items reaching us, and if you accept before 3pm on a working day, we pay you the same day. If you need the funds sooner, please contact us to discuss it.
