We send you a free pack with a prepaid Royal Mail Special Delivery label the next working day, at no cost and with no commitment. For larger holdings, or coins worth more than £2,500, please contact us first.
Send your sovereigns
Package each coin carefully and hand the pack in at a Post Office. It is insured up to £2,500 from then until it reaches us; for items worth more, please contact us first.
Accept or decline
You receive a firm offer within 24 hours of receiving your coins, with the date and condition noted for every coin. Accept before 3pm and we pay the same day, or we return everything free of charge.

Common questions
Are some sovereign dates worth more than others?
Yes. Pre-Victorian (pre-1837) sovereigns, certain rare dates and low-mintage issues can carry numismatic premiums well above their bullion value. We check every coin and will tell you if yours qualifies.
What's the difference between full and half sovereigns?
A full sovereign weighs 7.98g and a half sovereign 3.99g, both in 22ct gold (91.67%). We buy both at the same percentage of spot, with premiums for rare dates or proof strikes.
Do you buy sovereigns that have been cleaned or polished?
Yes, although cleaning can reduce any numismatic premium. Most sovereigns are valued mainly on their gold content, but condition can still affect a coin's value, and we explain any effect in your offer.
Can I get an offer before sending?
For collections of five or more coins, we can give a preliminary quote based on photos and descriptions. Please contact us to arrange this.
