Package all your scrap pieces, whether broken, tangled or mixed, and hand the pack in at a Post Office. It is insured up to £2,500 from then until it reaches us; for items worth more, please contact us first.

How do you value gold without hallmarks?
We use XRF (X-ray fluorescence) assay to test the exact gold content of every item, whether or not it carries a hallmark. The test is non-destructive, so your items are not damaged.
What if I mix gold of different carats in one parcel?
That is fine. We sort and test each item individually and give you a clear breakdown by carat. You can accept the offer for all items or for individual groups.
Do you buy rose gold and white gold?
Yes. Rose gold (alloyed with copper) and white gold (alloyed with palladium or nickel) are both bought at their equivalent carat gold value. The alloy metals do not reduce your offer.
What about gold-plated items?
Gold plating is a very thin layer of gold over a base metal. The gold content is minimal, so we do not buy gold-plated items. If you are unsure whether a piece is plated, include it: we test everything and tell you clearly before making any offer.
